Pre-Amble

1. Hello everyone.  I am ___________and I am an alcoholic.

This is the regular zoom meeting of the Rose-Rich group of Alcoholics Anonymous. We meet every weekday at 9:00 am and 10:30 on Sundays.  The Rose-Rich group also meets at the Twin Cities Facility which is located at 925 Spur 10 Rosenberg.  We have meetings there Mon-Fri at 7:00pm, and Sat and Sun 9:00am.

2. Let us open with a moment of silence to do with as you wish followed by the Serenity Prayer: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.”

3. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

4. ____________will now read “How it Works” from Chapter 5 of the A.A. Big Book. (pg. 58)

5. Is anyone attending their very first AA meeting?  (do you want to do something about your drinking?).

6. There is no crosstalk at this meeting and we ask you to limit your sharing to 3 minutes.

9.  We are on the chip system.  Birthdays are celebrated on the first Saturday of the month for the previous month’s birthdays.

10. Ask for announcements from the floor.
